AS A SENIOR (2016-2017): Came in second place in the 100 yd. fly (52.36) and fifth place in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:09.69) at the Husky Invitational...placed sixth in the 100 yd. fly (55.68), seventh in the 50 yd. free (23.85), and eleventh in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:04.38) against Tufts…placed seventh in the 50 yd. free (22.95) against BU…placed 14th in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:10.04) at the BU Invitational.
AS A JUNIOR (2015-2016): Came in seventh in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:04.94), eighth in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:21.64) and 13th in the 200 yd. IM (2:07.44) at the New England Catholic Invitational…Came in second in the 100 yd. breaststroke with an improved time of 1:04.27 against Bridgewater State…Dropped time in all of his swims and took 18th overall in the 100 yd. breaststroke (59.79), 11th in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:09.74), 41st in the 100 yd. butterfly (52.94) and 38th in the 200 yd. IM (1:59.03) at the Terrier Invitational.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014-2015): Took seventh in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:02.76), sixth in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:18.20) and 11th in the 100 yd. IM (2:05.57) at the New England Catholic Invitational…Came in fourth in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:03.32) and third in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:18.49) against Maine and Vermont.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013-2014):Â Member of the travel squad... Finalist in both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke as well as the 200 and 400 IM at the Terrier Invitational... Turned in seasonal best times at the Terrier Invite as well as UConn Invitational.
BEFORE BC:Â Graduated with honors from DeMatha Catholic High School .... National Honor Society .... awarded DeMatha Presidential Scholarship .... varsity swimmer for four years for DeMatha's swim team, and played soccer one year .... swim team captain senior year .... All-County in 2012 and 2013 .... 2012 Potomac Valley Swimming (PVS) Scholar-Athlete .... 2012 Prince-Mont Swim League (PMSL) 50 Breast All-Star Winner .... PMSL league and pool record holder .... Finalist in the 100 and 200 Breast at the 2012 & 2013 Eastern Zone South Region Sectionals .... 2013 NCSA Junior National Championships Qualifier .... Breaststroke, Individual Medley, and Fly.
PERSONAL:Â Patrick is from College Park, MD .... Son of Dan and Sherry Sheerin, both graduates of Penn State University .... His sister Cate was a four year varsity swimmer for the U.S. Naval Academy, and his brother Danny is a goalkeeper on the varsity soccer team at Penn State University .... Patrick swam for the Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club (RMSC) and the New Carrollton (MD) Recreation Dolphins ... Enrolled in College of Arts and Sciences.
