AS A SENIOR (2018-19): Swam a season best in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:57.77… swam a season best in the 50 Y Free with a time of 25.11… swam a season best in the 100 Y Free with a time of 54.20... placed second in the 100 Y Free at the Boston Winter Open ... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A JUNIOR (2017-18): Did not see competition action due to injury.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-2017): Had a very successful sophomore year as a strong sprint and middle-distance swimmer for the women’s team…placed 26th in the 200 yard Freestyle at the Terrier Invitational with a time of 1:56.42 and 48th in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 54.54…traveled to the Williams dual meet, placing 7th in both the 200 yard Freestyle and the 50 yard Freestyle...finished her season at the Husky Invite, with a 3rd place finish in the 50 yard Freestyle, fifth place in the 100 yard Freestyle, and seventh place finish in the 200 yard freestyle.
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-2016): Took fifth place in the 200 yd. freestyle (2:03.16) against Bryant…dropped 3 seconds and finished seventh in the 200 yd. freestyle (2:00.64) at the New England Catholic Invitational…came in fourth in the 1000 yd. freestyle (11:41.66) against Bridgewater State…placed eighth in the 100 yd. freestyle (56.63) at the Thomas Murphy Invitational…finished in twelfth place in the 100 yd. butterfly (1:01.27) against Williams…took sixth in the 100 yd. freestyle (55.19) at the UConn Open…competed in 9 regular season meets as a freshman.
BEFORE BC: Lettered all four years…team captain for the 2014-2015 season...First-team All-Central league all four years…First team All-Main-Line in 2013, 2014, 2015…All-Delco honorable mention in 2012, 2013, 2014, and second team in 2015…All-District team and All-State honorable mention in 2013, 2014, and 2015…Rookie of the year her freshman year…most valuable underclassmen her junior year… team MVP in 2015…holds school records in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay…Academic All-American in 2015…Academic wise, Laura was on student council all four years, was a member of National Honors Society and an editor for the yearbook.
PERSONAL: Laura is the daughter of Barbara Meriwether and Chris Packer...has one sister, Colleen (24), who graduated from Columbia…student in the Carroll School of Management, studying Finance and Marketing.
