AS A SENIOR (2018-19): Swam a personal best in the 50 Y Back with a time of 29.25… swam a personal best in the 50 Y Fly with a time of 26.59… swam a personal best in the 100 Y Fly with a time of 57.47… swam a personal best in the 100 Y Back with a time of 59.76 ... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A JUNIOR (2017-2018): Competed in butterfly and backstroke events throughout the season…set new personal bests in the 50 yd. freestyle (25.45), 200 yd. backstroke (2:09.34), and 100 yd. butterfly (58.44) at the Boston Winter Open...at the Terrier Invitational, placed 29th in the 100 yd. butterfly (58.99), 39th in the 100 yd. backstroke (1:01.99), and 51st in the 50 yd. freestyle (25.50)…placed fourth in the 200 yd. backstroke vs. Tufts (2:14.69) ... placed first in the 50 yd. freestyle vs. Bridgewater State (26.31) ... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-2017): Ended the season with a career best time in the 100 yard butterfly (59.30) at the BU dual meet…Placed in top 10 in every event swam at the end of season Husky Invitational...Went all-season best times in the 200 yard individual medley, 100 yard butterfly, and 100 and 200 yard backstroke events at the Terrier Invitational....Placed third in the 100 yard butterfly at the Bridgewater State meet…Went a best dual-meet time in the 100 yard butterfly (1:01.34) at the Keene State meet…Awarded the James J. Kane Academic Award for both fall and spring semester of 2016 for having one of the 5 highest GPAs on the women’s team…Placed on the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMEN (2015-2016): Took sixteenth place in the 100 yard Butterfly (1:02.67) at the New England Catholic Invitational…Came in first in the 200 yard Medley Relay (1:57.62) and third in the 100 yard Backstroke (1:03.04) against Bridgewater State…Took tenth place in the 100 yard Freestyle (59.10) against Keene State…Dropped 3 seconds off of her 100 yard Butterfly (59.48) to finish in ninth place at the UConn Invitational…Competed in 8 regular season meets as a freshman.
BEFORE BC: Attended Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School...Graduated 2nd in her class...Winner of the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science Award...Has been swimming for 12 years...Swims for Bluefish Swim Club out of Attleboro, MA.
PERSONAL: Sydney is from Easton, MA…She is the daughter of Erika and Patrick Dacey…She studies biology on the Pre-med track.
