AS A JUNIOR (2018-19): Swam a season best in the 200 Y Fly with a time of 2:08.77… swam a season best in the 100 Y Fly with a time of 57.83… placed second in the 200 Y Fly against Marist ... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-2018): Competed primarily in butterfly events…at the Terrier Invitational, placed 21st in the 100 yd. butterfly (58.46), 27th in the 200 yd. butterfly (2:13.60), 28th in the 200 yd. individual medley (2:10.84), and 30th in the 100 yd. backstroke (1:00.60)…at the Boston Winter Open, placed 3rd in the 200 yd. butterfly (2:09.05) and 6th in the 100 yd. butterfly (57.92)…at the dual meet vs. Williams, placed 4th in the 100 yd. butterfly (58.63) and 7th in the 200 yd. butterfly (2:10.79)…named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016-2017): Had a successful freshman year as a key butterfly swimmer for the women’s program…traveled to the Chicago and Williams dual meets and scored multiple points for the team at both meets…at the Terrier Invite, placed 4th in the 200 yard Butterfly with a time of 2:07.57, 6th in the 100 yard Butterfly with a time of 57.56, and qualified for the bonus final of the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:11.14…traveled to Atlanta as a member of the ACC squad and competed in the 100 yard butterfly, 200 yard butterfly, and 200 yard Individual Medley…scored 134.5 points her freshman year.
BEFORE BC: Junior National qualifier...Team Captain in 2015...State qualifier in 2013 and 2015...holds school records in 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 100 butterfly, and 100 backstroke...swam for Academy Bullets Swim Club.
PERSONAL: Sarah is from Bartlett, IL...she is the daughter of Michael and Julia Hanning...she has two older brothers and one older sister.
