AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Placed third in the 1000 Y Free versus Marist… placed third in the 1650 Y Free at the Boston Winter Open… placed fourth in the 500 Y Free at the Boston Winter Open ... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017-2018): Competed primarily in distance freestyle events…at the Terrier Invitational, placed 15th in the 1650 yd. freestyle with a lifetime best time (17:50.03), 30th in the 100 yd. freestyle (53.56), 31st in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:57.13), and 34th in the 500 yd. freestyle (5:15.14)…at the Boston Winter Open…at the dual meet vs. Williams, placed 3rd in the 1000 yd. freestyle (10:40.17) and 4th in the 500 yd. freestyle (5:13.17)…at the dual meet vs. Boston University, placed 3rd in the 500 yd. freestyle (5:13.56) and 5th in the 1000 yd. freestyle (10:49.04)
BEFORE BC: Lettered all four years…Member of the Bolles State Championship Team 2014-16…Placed at State in the 100, 200, and 500 freestyle…Medaled in both freestyle and medley relays…Awarded North Florida Swim and Dive Performance Sportsman and Leadership Award… Won O.S. Garces Trophy for Best All Around Athlete at Bolles (2017)…Scholastic All-American…Senior Team Captain…Presidential Scholar…Scholastic All-American.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Andrew and Meredith Rocca…Her father, Andrew, was a Varsity Water Polo and Swim Team member at Princeton University....Her mother, Meredith, was a member of the Varsity Swimming and Track Team and Franklin and Marshall College…She has two brothers, Ty (22) and Huck (21) who are both seniors at Harvard and members of the swim and crew team, respectively…Avrey swims for her club team, the Bolles School Sharks…Enrolled in the Connell School of Nursing.
