AS A SENIOR (2017-2018): Named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A JUNIOR (2016-2017): Competed in sprint Freestyle and Breaststroke events throughout the season…at the Terrier Invite, placed 12th in the 100 yard Breaststroke with a time of 58.15 and 17th in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 20.87…at the Williams dual, took 2nd place in the 50 yard Freestyle and 3rd place in the 100 yard Freestyle…at the Boston University dual, placed 5th in the 50 yard Freestyle and 7th in the 100 yard Freestyle…at the ACC Championships, placed 32nd in the 100 yard Breaststroke with a season-best time of 57.47, 48th in the 100 yard Freestyle with a season-best time of 46.36, and 56th in the 50 yard Freestyle...scored 162.75 points.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2015-2016): Came in fourth in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:02.48) against Bryant…took second in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:02.12) and in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:17.90) at the New England Catholic Invitational...finished second in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:01.79) against Keene State…came in fourth in the 100 yd. breaststroke (59.22) and second in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:11.79) against Williams…took second in the 100 yd. breaststroke (58.94) at the UConn Open…finished thirty-second overall in the 100 yd. breaststroke (57.76) and thirty-third in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:07.84) at the ACC Championships.
AS A FRESHMAN (2014-2015): Came in fourteenth in the 50 yd. freestyle (22.69) at the Thomas Murphy Invitational…took ninth in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:49.36) against Connecticut and Keene State…finished eleventh in the 100 yd. breaststroke (58.98) at the Terrier Invitational…competed in the ACC Championships as a freshman and finished thirty-seventh overall in the 100 yd. breaststroke (57.68)…totaled 50.75 individual dual meet points for the season.
PERSONAL: From Key Biscayne, Florida...Nico is the third child of Hartmut and Elisa Junghahn...oldest sister attended College of William & Mary, second oldest sister attended University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), and younger brother is a freshman at Duke University...as a senior and captain of the BC Swim team, Nico hopes to end his career with multiple best times and to lead the team to an unforgettable season.
