AS A JUNIOR (2015-2016): Came in third in the 200 yd. backstroke (2:13.45) against Bryant…Finished in sixth place in the 100 yd. backstroke (1:02.51) at the New England Catholic Invitational…Dropped 1 second and finished in fourth in the 100 yd. backstroke (1:01.19) at the Thomas Murphy Invitational…Took fourth in the 200 yd. freestyle (2:01.48) against Keene State…Reached all-time best dual meet time in the 200 yd. backstroke (2:05.65) against Williams…Took seventh in the 100 yd. backstroke (1:00.00) at the Dartmouth Invitational…Competed in the 2016 ACC championships and swam a personal best in the 200 yd. backstroke (2:03.99)…Holds a season’s best dual meet time in the 200 yd. backstroke (2:05.65) from the Williams meet.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014-2015): Totaled 10 individual first place finishes in dual meets…holds 21 career first place finishes…holds 3 dual meet best times, 2 individual and 1 relay…holds best time in the 400 medley relay from the Loyola & John’s Hopkins meet with an overall time of 3:59.62…holds best time in the 200 yd. backstroke from the BU & Colgate meet with a time of 2:11.26…holds a best time in the 100 backstroke from the Loyola & John’s Hopkins meet with a time of 1:00.56…totaled 133.00 points in dual meets and 269.00 points in invitational and the ACC’s… competed as a top finisher for the eagles in the ACC Championships in the 100 yd. backstroke (58.05) and the 200 yd. backstroke (2:05.83)…set a BC record in the 400 yd. medley relay at the ACC Championships (3:49.16)…Earned Varsity Letter…Awarded Harold M. Groden Award for Outstanding Performance.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013-2014): Totaled 11 first place finishes (individual and relay) in the dual meet season as a member of the travel squad... Holds 5 dual meet best times along with 7 Outstanding Performance Swims... At the Terrier Invite at Boston University placed 7th in 100 back (58.20), 8th in 200 back (2:06.62), 11th in 50 free (24.33), 3rd and 4th in the 400 and 200 free relays and 4th in both medley relays... Participant in the 2014 ACC Championships in Greensboro, NC in the 100 (57.59) and 200 (2:06.16) back, 50 free (24.47), 200 and 400 free relays and the 200 and 400 medley relays... Set personal best times in both backstrokes and set 2 BC records in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay... Was a recipient of the 2014 Harold M. Groden MD Award, which recognizes an Outstanding Performance of the season... was named to the 2013- 14 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll for having a GPA above a 3.0 as a student- athlete…Earned Varsity Letter.
BEFORE BC: Attended Parish Episcopal in Dallas, Texas... lettered all four years... team captain in 2013 and team MVP all four years... First Team All-State all four years... Member of the Scholastic All-America Team in 2011... Four-time member of the Texas TAPPS Academic All-State Team... holds school team records in the 200 medley relay, 200 and 500 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 400 free relay... Texas TAPPS Division II state record holder in 400 free relay... held 100 backstroke record from 2010-2012.
PERSONAL: Madeline is from Dallas, TX... she is the daughter of Don and Linda Mailliard... She has one brother, Erik (15) who is a sophomore at Parish Episcopal and plays basketball... Madeline swims for her club team, the Elite Swim Program in Dallas... She also enjoys traveling, creative writing and playing ping-pong... Enrolled in the Carroll School of Management.
