AS A SENIOR (2016-2017): Took first place in the 100 yd. free (45.44), second in the 500 yd. free (4:30.63), and fourth in the 50 yd. free (21.34) at the ACC Time Trials…placed third in the 50 yd. free (21.46) against BU…placed 11th in both the 100 yd. free (46.40) and the 200 yd. free (1:39.03) at the ACC Championships.
AS A JUNIOR (2015-2016): Took first place in the 1,000 yd. freestyle (10:01.76) and second place in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:45.98) and the 500 yd. freestyle (4:49.99) at the New England Catholic Invitational…Came in first in the 500 yd. freestyle (4:48.47) and in the 1,000 yd. freestyle (9:53.59) against Keene State…Took first in the 1,000 yd. freestyle with an improved time of 9:33.08…Competed in the ACC Championships finishing in first in the 50 yd. freestyle (21.23), the 100 yd. freestyle (46.01) and the 500 yd. freestyle (4:30.60.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014-2015): Came in third place in the 1,000 yd. freestyle (10:16.04), fourth in the 100 yd. freestyle (48.65) and fifth in the 500 yd. freestyle (4:55.86) at the New England Catholic Invitational…Came in 10th place in the 1,650 yd. freestyle with a time of 16:32.59 and 11th in the 100 yd. freestyle with an improved time of 47.17 at the Terrier Invitational…Came in third in the 1,000 yd. freestyle with an improved time of 9:50.85 against Connecticut…Competed in the ACC Championships and placed third in the 50 yd. freestyle (21.13), first in the 100 yd. freestyle (46.08), 48th in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:41.50), 44th in the 500 yd. freestyle (4:35.76) and second in the 200 yd. IM (1:57.09).
AS A FRESHMAN (2013-2014): Anthony Richardson was a member of every travel squad, including ACC's...At the Terrier Invite, he A-finalled in the 200 and 1650 freestyle and B-finalled in the 500 freestyle...He broke the 1500 meter freestyle record at Providence College by over 23 seconds...At ACC's, Richardson C-finalled in the 1650 freestyle...and anchored the record-breaking 800 freestyle relay record...He also recieved personal best times in the 50, 100, 500, and 1000 meter freestyle during his freshman season.
BEFORE BC: Anthony Richardson attended Garnet Valley High School, his freshman season was his first ever experience with being on a swim team... achieved varsity letters all four years... received 1st Team All-Centrals and the Team Ambassador award Sophomore, Junior, and Senior year... captain senior year and his school's Varsity Club representative for Swimming... qualified for PIAA States in both the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle... as a sophomore, he contributed to breaking both his pool's 200 medley relay record and his pools 400 freestyle relay record... as a junior, he broke his pools 400 freestyle record... as a senior, he rebroke the pools 400 freestyle record 4 times... also broke his pools 200 freestyle record and his schools 500 freestyle record.
PERSONAL: Anthony is from Garnet Valley, a suburb southwest of Philadelphia... he has only swam for his high school team and then joined the Upper Mainline YMCA team this summer... he has an older brother (21) who plays hockey for Salisbury University and a younger sister who is still in high school.
