AS A FRESHMAN (2015-2016): Finished in eleventh place in the 200 yd. freestyle (2:08.07) and ninth place in the 500 yd. freestyle (5:44.12) against Williams…Took fourteenth place in the 400 yd. medley relay (4:34.27) at the Dartmouth Invitational…Dropped eight seconds in the 500 yd. freestyle (5:36.06) off of her seed time and finished in ninth place at the UConn Invitational…Competed in 4 regular season meets as a freshman.
BEFORE BC: Competed with NYSPHAA Section 2 and lettered all 5 years, was a sectional championship finalist and a member of the first place Sectional Championship team in 2011 and 2013…Member of the Southern Saratoga YMCA Barracudas team 2004-2015, part of the first place North Country League Championship team 2008-2014, and second place NYS YMCA Championship team 2014…Was an individual NYS YMCA Championship top 10 finalist 2011-2015, Speedo Sectional relay qualifier 2015, and individual/relay Region 1 Championship qualifier 2012-2015…Holds the team records for the Southern Saratoga YMCA Barracudas for age 13-14 and 15-18 in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Justine and Mark Caplan…was a member of the chamber orchestra, National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society in high school…Is enrolled in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences as a biology major and hopes to become a Neonatologist after college.Â
