AS A JUNIOR (2018-19): Swam a personal best in the 50 Y Breast with a time of 27.80… swam a season best in the 100 Y Breast with a time of 58.82… swam a season best in the 200 Y Breast with a time of 2:06.95… swam a season best in the 200 Y IM with a time of 1:53.62.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-2018): Competed primarily in breaststroke and individual medley events his sophomore year…at the Boston Winter open, won the 400 yd. individual medley (4:04.69), setting the 7th fastest time in program history, and the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:05.35) and earned a spot on the ACC Championships team…at the ACC Championships, placed 33rd in the 400 yd. individual medley (4:11.83), 38th in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:08.46), and 51st in the 200 yd. individual medley (1:55.19)…at the Terrier Invitational, placed 13th in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:09.11), 22nd in the 400 yd. individual medley (4:14.40), 26th in the 100 yd. breaststroke (1:00.54), and 28th in the 200 yd. individual medley (1:56.33)…at the New England Catholic Invite, placed 4th in the 200 yd. individual medley (2:00.48), 4th in the 400 yd. individual medley (4:19.06), and 4th in the 200 yd. breaststroke (2:14.54).
AS A FRESHMAN (2016-2017): Competed at the Husky Invitational with lifetime bests including 1st place finish in the 400 yard Individual Medley (4:06.44) and 3rd Place finish in the 200 yard Breaststroke (2:08.61)...qualified for the B Final at the Terrier Invite in the 400 yard Individual Medley (4:07.72) and 200 yard Breaststroke (2:10.04) taking 12th and 14th respectively...took 2nd place in 200 yard Breaststroke against Tufts...took 2nd place against Harvard in the 200 yard Individual Medley... finished freshman year by making ACC travel team.
BEFORE BC: Attended Los Alamitos High School and Mater Dei High School located in Orange County, California…lettered all four years…Team captain 2015 and 2016…2016 Team MVP…All-Sunset League award 2014, 2015 and All-Trinity League 2016…Coaches Award 2014 and 2015…2016 Most inspirational swimmer…2013 Rookie of the Year…holds Pool record in 400 Freestyle Relay and 200 Medley Relay.
PERSONAL: Lucas is from Newport Beach, California....He is the son of Chuck and Sylvia Saliba...has two older brothers, Estephen, who graduated from Boston College in 2016 and was a member of the swim team for four years, and Brandon, who is currently a Senior at the University of Arizona...also has a younger sister, Jessica who is a Freshman at UC Merced...Lucas is a Ocean Lifeguard and works for the City of Laguna Beach...swims for Irvine Novaquatics...enjoys surfing and playing basketball in his spare time.
