AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21):
• Set Boston College record in 1000 Free with a time of 9:20.20
• Set Boston College record in 1650 Free with a time of 15:31.41
• Swam second-fastest 500 Free in school history (4:29.48)
• Recorded seventh-fastest 400 Individual Medley in school history (4:02.11)
BEFORE BC:
• Held five school records and qualified for the Florida state meet three years in a row
• First overall in the mile at long course Speedo Sectionals in 2019
• Placed Top-20 in the United States for the 5k open water and Top-8 in both the mile and 1000 at short course YMCA Nationals 2019
• Swam for the Sarasota Sharks for eight years and part of their national team for two

• Attended the Out of Door Academy
• From Sarasota, Florida but was born in Portland, Oregon
• Son of Craig and Sandi Szmania
• Has a younger sister, Ella Szmania who is 15 years old
