Earned Louisville Courier-Journal All-State first team honors in both 2001 and 2002...was a three-year starter on the Tigers' defensive line...was a three-time All-County and All-District selection...recorded 68 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and nine sacks in his senior season; registered 49 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and eight sacks as a junior...earned District Player of the Year honors in 2001...played for head coach Mike Glaser; Glaser compared him to former St. Xavier star and current BC star Phil Mettling...played in the 20th annual Kentucky-Tennessee All-Star Football Classic; game was played on June 20, 2003...also played in the Louisville East-West Game six days earlier (June 14)...played two years on the Tigers' basketball team.
