Eagles compete at Bryan Clay Invitational and Friar Invitational over the span of three days
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams continued its outdoor season while competing at the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Friar Invitation over the span of Apr. 11-13.
Bryan Clay Invitational
The Eagles traveled out west to Azusa, Calif. to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Apr. 11-13 at Cougar Athletic Stadium on the campus of Azusa Pacific University. The Bryan Clay Invitational is one of the top invite meets in the country, featuring thousands of athletes from schools across the country.
The Eagles started off the three-day meet with the Men's and Women's 3000m Steeplechase on Thursday night. Emma Tavella finished 10th overall on the Women's side, crossing the finish line at 9:53.51.
On Friday, Boston College continued to compete in running events throughout the day. Edward Sullivan finished 21st overall in the Men's 5000m with his time of 14:26.03, while a pair of Eagles finished top-30 in the Women's 5000m. Molly FitzPatrick (16:53.94) placed 24th overall, while Ellie Buckley (17:09.91) crossed the line at 27th.
The Eagles wrapped up competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Saturday night with the Men's and Women's 1500m runs. Ryan Beegle was the top finisher on the men's side, placing 40th with a time of 3:47.97. Aoife Dunne crossed the finish line as the top finisher on the Women's side, placing 52nd overall with a time of 4:18.69.

Friar Invitational
The Eagles wrapped up the weekend slate of meets by competing at the Friar Invitational on Friday, Apr. 12 in Providence, R.I. on the campus of Providence College.
Boston College competed in six events on both the Men's and Women's sides, including one field event. The Eagles left the Friar Invite with 17 top-10 finishes across all the events, including five first-place finishes.
The Eagles kicked off the Meet with a hot start in the Women's High Jump. Sophie Albright earned first place with a score of 1.59m, while Lila Belsher came in second with a score of 1.54m.
Colin Kravitz started off the day for the Eagles in running events, placing first overall in the Men's 100m Dash with his time of 10.97. Anna Sonsini (12.17) and Anna Becker (12.56) continued the momentum into the Women's 100m Dash, placing first and second overall respectively.
The Eagles dominated the Men's and Women's 200m dashes, with Boston College placing first and second in both races. Colin Kravitz (22.09) and Max McQuide (22.24) placed first and second on the Men's side, while Anna Sonsini (25.07) and Anna Becker (25.57) finished top-two on the Women's side.
Stephen Colleran finished second overall in the Men's 400m with a time of 49.39, while Eddie Kelly came in third place with his time of 49.42.
