Bianchi Ready for NCAA Outdoor Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Mateo Bianchi of the Boston College Men's Track and Field is slated to compete in the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships, held in Hayward Stadium at Oregon University. Action is set to take place from June 10-13, with Bianchi racing the evening of June 10.

Bianchi will race in the 3000m Steeplechase Quarterfinal on Wednesday at 8:38 p.m. EST. He punched his ticket to Hayward Stadium after running a thrilling 3000m steeplechase quarterfinal, where he crushed his personal best and school record time by 10 seconds to grab the final qualifying spot. He enters the NCAA Outdoor Championships as the lowest seed, 35th in the NCAA. His qualification made him the first BC athlete since Bill Norris in 1967 to make the championships in the 3000m steeplechase, as he looks to earn All-American honors tomorrow evening.
