Offense Flourishes in Eagles’ Win over No. 8 Duke

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 4 Boston College lacrosse team defeated No. 8 Duke, 17-15 in Alumni Stadium for its Red Bandanna Game honoring Welles Crowther '99 on Saturday, April 3.
It was a high-scoring affair led by Charlotte North, who had a game-high six goals on the day. Cara Urbank (4G) and Caitlynn Mossman (1G, 3A) each had four points as well.
This was North's first time facing her former team since transferring to BC in the fall of 2019.
BC out-shot Duke, 34-25, and had 19 draw controls to the Blue Devils' 15.
Duke controlled the game early, with its largest lead of the game coming at 6-3. The Eagles would work back to make it 9-8 heading into halftime.
Coming out of halftime, BC scored four-straight from Jenn Medjid and Urbank to get its first lead of the game and didn't give it back.
Duke pulled within one goal, 16-15, with 4:01 to go, but North sealed the deal scoring her sixth goal to make it 17-15.
Rachel Hall made six saves on the day.

- Cara Urbank has points in all nine games this season and had her sixth multi-goal game of the year, scoring four today. She now has 18 goals and 16 assists this season.
- Caitlynn Mossman now leads the team with 18 assists. She had three today.
- Recently named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List, Jenn Medjid had two goals on four shots.
