Lacrosse Adds BC Standout Kenzie Kent to Coaching Staff
June 28, 2026 | Lacrosse
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Schiller Family Head Coach for Women's Lacrosse Acacia Walker is excited to announce the hiring of BC standout Kenzie Kent '19 to the staff as an assistant coach.
"Boston College shaped who I am today," said Kent. "It gave me lifelong relationships, built my character, and taught me what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself. Watching this program grow into what it is today has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Coming back to help carry that forward means more than I can put into words. I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to give back. Go Eagles!"
Kenzie Kent returns to The Heights after beginning her coaching career with stops at Harvard and Syracuse.
One of the most accomplished student-athletes in Boston College history, Kent starred in both women's lacrosse and women's hockey from 2015-19. In lacrosse, she earned IWLCA First-Team All-America honors in 2019 after leading the nation with 127 points on 52 goals and 75 assists. Her 75 assists set a Boston College single-season record.
In 2017, Kent was named the ACC Mary Garber Award winner as the conference's Female Athlete of the Year. In just 12 games, she totaled 77 points, ranking 31st nationally. She paced all scorers during Boston College's NCAA Tournament run and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
Kent finished her lacrosse career with 131 goals, 133 assists - the second-most in program history and 264 points, which is tied for seventh all-time at Boston College. She helped the Eagles reach the national semifinals three times and three national title appearances.
On the ice, Kent concluded her hockey career tied for eighth in program history with 138 points and ranked fourth all-time with 98 assists. She also set the school record for games played, with 157, helping the Eagles reach three Frozen Fours and a national title appearance.
Following her collegiate career, Kent has remained a prominent figure on the international lacrosse stage. A longtime member of Team USA, she has won multiple gold medals in international competition and will serve as a captain of the U.S. Senior National Team at the 2026 Women's Lacrosse World Championship this summer. She also competes professionally for the Boston Guard in the Women's Lacrosse League.
Her mother, Jen Kent, is the associate head coach on the team, while her sister, Callahan, is an assistant coach on the staff.Â
