AS A JUNIOR (2018-19): Swam a personal best in the 50 Y Fly with a time of 25.63… swam a personal best in the 100 Y Fly with a time of 54.99… swam a personal best in the 50 Y Free with a time of 23.66... competed in the ACC Championships... named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-2018): Had an outstanding sophomore season where she continued and expanded upon the successes of her freshman year…at the Terrier Invitational, won the 100 yd. butterfly with a school record-setting time (55.57), won the 200 yd. butterfly (2:04.50), placed 5th in the 50 yd. freestyle (23.77), which she improved in a time trial to the 5th fastest time in program history (23.76), and swam the butterfly leg on the winning and record-setting 200 yd. medley relay…at the ACC Championships, swam the butterfly leg on the 200 yd. medley relay and the 400 yd. medley relay, both of which broke school records, and placed 29th in the 200 yd. butterfly (2:04.55) and 35th in the 100 yd. butterfly (55.59)…at the dual meet vs. Williams, won the 100 yd. butterfly (56.37) and the 200 yd. butterfly (2:04.71)…at the dual meet vs. Boston University, placed second in the 100 yd. butterfly (58.27) and the 200 yd. butterfly (2:08.24)…scored a total of 319 points her sophomore year… was awarded the Harold M. Groden Award for Outstanding Performance, as a result of her contributions to the 200 yd. medley relay, as well as the Kevin Conway Award for promises fulfilled during her sophomore year…named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016-2017): Had a standout freshman season as a top butterfly swimmer on the women’s team…competed in all travel meets, including the Chicago travel trip, Williams dual, and ACC Championships…won the 200 yard Butterfly at the Terrier Invitational with a time of 2:03.91, the third fastest time in program history…placed second in the 100 yard Butterfly at the Terrier Invitational with a time of 56.17, also the third fastest time in program history…competed in the 50 yard Freestyle at the Terrier Invite with a time of 24.23, moving up from the 8th seed in the bonus final to win the bonus final…at the ACC Championships, was a member of the 200 yard Medley Relay team, recording a butterfly split of 24.83, which played a role in setting a new school record of 1:44.46…placed 34th in both the 100 yard Butterfly 200 yard butterfly events at the ACC Championships…scored a total of 209.75 points.
BEFORE BC: Varsity letter-earner all four years...named senior captain in 2015...All-State four years in a row...holds school team record in the 200 medley relay, 100 butterfly, and 100 backstroke.
PERSONAL: Victoria is the daughter of Kurt and Diane Lin...she has an older brother Brandon (19) who is a sophomore at Michigan State and a younger brother Blaise (12)...swims for her club team Badger Aquatics Club and coaches and swims on the Middleton Gators summer league team.
