AS A JUNIOR (2018-2019): Competed in sprint Freestyle events throughout the season…at the New England Catholic Invite, placed 10th in the 50 yard freestyle, and 12th in the 100 yard freestyle… Placed fifth in the 100 yard freestyle at Bryant with a 48.82… at the Terrier Invitational, placed 21st in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 21.28… Placed fifth in the 50 yard freestyle against Boston University with a time of 21.44… concluded his season at the BU Winter Open with a seventh place finish in the 50 yard freestyle, tying his season-best time of 21.28 and a 13th place finish in the 100 yard freestyle…named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-2018): Had a standout performance at the Boston Winter Open, where he won the 100 yd. freestyle (46.42), placed 2nd in the 50 yd. freestyle (21.40), and led off the 200 yd. freestyle relay with a lifetime best time (21.15), earning his spot on the ACC Championships team…at the ACC Championships, placed 56th in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:44.87), 58th in the 100 yd. freestyle (46.93), and 61st in the 50 yd. freestyle (21.51)…at the Terrier Invitational, placed 18th in the 50 yd. freestyle (21.54), 26th in the 100 yd. freestyle (47.68), and 41st in the 200 yd. freestyle (1:48.88)…at the dual meet vs. Williams, placed 4th in the 100 yd. freestyle (48.04) and 5th in the 50 yd. freestyle (21.93)…at the New England Catholic Invite, placed 12th in the 50 yd. freestyle (22.75), 15th in the 100 yd. freestyle (50.57), and 17th in the 100 yd. backstroke (59.35)…named to the ACC Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2016-2017): Competed in sprint Freestyle events throughout the season…at the New England Catholic Invite, placed 11th in the 100 yard Backstroke, 16th in the 50 yard Freestyle, and 19th in the 100 yard Freestyle…at the Terrier Invite, placed 30th in the 200 yard Freestyle with a time of 1:46.96 and 33rd in the 50 yard Freestyle with a time of 22.02…concluded his season at the Husky Invite with a 6th place finish in the 100 yard Freestyle with a season-best time of 48.31 and a 12th place finish in the 50 yard Freestyle.
BEFORE BC: Attended Montgomery High School in New Jersey...four year varsity letter winner...Captain in 2015 and 2016...Coaches award in 2016...100 free conference champion in 2015 and 2016...100 free county champion in 2016...4 time Y-National qualifier...holds school team records in the 50 freestyle, 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay.
PERSONAL: Evan is from Skillman, NJ...he is the son of Edward and Neeta O'Mara...has one brother, Sean (21), who attends Virginia Tech and a sister, Neena (13), in middle school.
