Dominic Funke joins the Boston College Football program as a top-10 player from the state of Massachusetts (ESPN, Rivals). In his senior season at Xaverian Brothers High School, Funke totaled seven sacks and nine tackles for loss. As a junior, Funke registered two sacks en route to a MIAA Division I State Championship. Funke totaled 50 career varsity sacks and 100 career tackles for loss. Funke earned Catholic Conference Defensive MVP honors as a junior. In total, Funke has earned Boston Globe and Boston Herald All-Scholastic honors twice, All-ISL honors twice, All-NEPSAC honors twice, and Massachusetts Super-26 All-State honors. Funke’s father, Jerod, played football at Boston College, and his mother, Gabrielle played two years of lacrosse and four years of field hockey at Boston College. Funke’s brother, Jack, completed his redshirt junior season as an offensive lineman at Boston College in 2025.
