No. 23 Eagles Come Up Short Against No. 3 Georgia Tech

Nick Wang hit his 16th home run of the season
BRIGHTON, Mass. -Â No. 23 Boston College baseball (36-19, 17-12) dropped game two of the weekend to No. 3 Georgia Tech (44-9, 24-5) on Friday night, falling by a score of 14-1.

Nick Wang hit his 16th home run of the season and 40th of his career and recorded his 61st RBI of the year.

The Yellow Jackets opened the scoring in the first with a solo home run from Jarren Advincula.

In the bottom of the first, Nick Wang hit the ball 111 mph off the bat to left center field, sliding safely into second base for his 11th double of the season.

Georgia Tech added another solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to push the lead to two. Later in the inning, the Yellow Jackets loaded the bases with two outs, but Cesar Gonzalez forced a groundout to first to end the inning.

After GT added to their lead in the sixth, Wang hit a 395-foot solo shot to left field to cut into the deficit.

The Yellow Jackets tallied 11 more runs over the last three innings to make it a 14-1 game.
