HYANNIS, Mass. - On Wednesday evening, the Cape Cod Baseball League announced their annual season awards. Junior outfielder Colin Larson was named the John J. Claffey Award winner, which is given to the most outstanding player from New England.
Larson has had a productive summer with the Harwich Mariners as he is hitting .264, 24 runs scored, 17 steals, and 14 RBI with an on-base percentage of .400. Larson and the Mariners advanced to the East Division semifinals after walking off the Brewster Whitecaps on Wednesday night.
