FEATURED GUESTS

Featured Guests: Andrew Bailey and Joe Cronin
This night celebrates Birdball. Last year it was a celebration of three Birdball alums who made their Major League debuts. This year, we highlight Joe Cronin, a Birdball alum who's made his way to the big leagues in the dugout with the Boston Red Sox. He will be joined by Andrew Bailey, the Red Sox pitching coach, and they will participate in a fireside chat discussing Joe's journey to the big leagues and the upcoming season for the Red Sox.
Andrew Bailey
Bailey previously served as the pitching coach for the San Francisco Giants and the bullpen coach for the Los Angeles Angels. Prior to his coaching career, Bailey pitched in 265 MLB games over eight seasons (2009-2013, 2015-2017), including 49 games with the Red Sox (2012-2013). The right-hander earned All-Star selections in each of his first two seasons (2009-2010) and was named the 2009 American League Rookie of the Year. During Boston’s 2013 World Series Championship season, he pitched in 30 games and earned eight saves before he was placed on the injured list from July 19 through the remainder of the season.
Joe Cronin
Cronin played baseball at Boston College and graduated in 2016. He was drafted in the 34th round of the 2016 MLB draft by the Minnesota Twins. Following his playing career, Cronin joined the Boston Red Sox organization as a player development intern in 2021. The next year he returned to the diamond as the development coach for the
Greenville Drive. In 2023 he began his current role as the coaching assistant for hitting strategy for the Boston Red Sox.
