CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Boston College lacrosse suffered a narrow 17-14 loss to Virginia on Saturday afternoon at Klockner Stadium.

The Eagles fall to 8-6 and 5-4 in the ACC, while the Cavaliers improve to 7-8 and 5-4 in the league.

Giulia Colarusso and Kylee Colbert paced the offense with four goals apiece, while Marissa White registered a hat trick with one assist for four points. Molly Driscoll tallied three points with one goal and two helpers. Casey Colbert dished out two assists as well.

Julia Hodell led the team with a pair of caused turnovers and Abbey Herod collected a season-high 10 draw controls.
The Cavaliers held an 8-3 lead in the first half until BC finished the final 9:11 of the second period with a 3-0 run capped off by a K. Colbert score to slice the gap to 8-6 going into the break.

Colarusso scored the first goal of the second half before the hosts pushed the lead back to two, 9-7. K. Colbert and Colarusso stepped up once again with back-to-back goals to tie the game, highlighted by Colarusso's BTB to make it 9-9.

However, UVA bridged the third and fourth periods with a 5-0 run to go up 14-9 with 12:14 left in the game. BC responded with four straight of its own, trimming the lead to 14-13. It was as close as the Eagles would get, as UVA scored three of the final four to pull away.

BC concludes the regular season on Thursday against No. 3 Syracuse at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU.
