Eagles take on the Minutemen on Thursday, Huskies on Saturday

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 13 Boston College men's hockey team closes out the regular season this week. The Eagles travel to UMass for a Thursday night matchup against the Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. at the Mullins Center, before wrapping up the regular season on Saturday on home ice against Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. Both games will air on ESPN+ and can be heard on WEEI 850 AM, while Saturday's game will also air live on NESN.

SETTING THE SCENE
• The Eagles are 19-12-1 overall and 13-9-0 in Hockey East
• The Minutemen are 19-12-1 overall and 12-9-1 in league play
• The Huskies are 15-17-1 overall and 10-13-0 in Hockey East
• BC is ranked No. 13 in both the USCHO and USA Hockey national polls
• UMass is ranked No. 17 in both national polls

SETBACK TO BU
• Boston College suffered two defeats to Boston University this past weekend
• Dean Letourneau scored his 19th goal of the season on Friday night
• Oskar Jellvik tallied his first goal of the campaign on Saturday evening
• James Hagens extended his point streak to a career-best 10 games
• Louka Cloutier posted a career-high 38 saves on Friday

THE EAGLES
• J. Hagens leads the Eagles in scoring with 40 points on 20 goals and 20 assists
• Letourneau is second on the team in points with 34, scoring 19 goals and dishing out 15 assists
• Ryan Conmy, Andre Gasseau, and Letourneau are tied for second in assists with 15
• Will Vote is in double digits for both goals (10) and assists (11)
• Nolan Joyce leads the team in blocks with 36, while Lukas Gustafsson is second with 34 and Aram Minnetian is right behind with 33
• Cloutier has a 18-10-1 record this season with a .912 save percentage and 2.32 goals against average

MONTHLY AWARDS
• J. Hagens was named Hockey East's Boston Children's Hospital Player of the Month for February after leading the league in points with 15 on eight goals and seven assists
• Gustafsson was recognized as the Army ROTC Defender of the Month after leading Hockey East in scoring for defensemen with eight points, posting three goals and five assists

A LOOK AT UMASS
• The Minutemen are coming off a 1-0-1 weekend against UConn, picking a 5-1 road win to begin the weekend, followed by a 3-3 tie the next night at the Mullins Center
• Jack Musa leads UMass in scoring with 33 points on 15 goals and 18 assists
• Vaclav Nestrasil is second on the team in goals with 12
• Jack Galanek is second in assists with 17, while Francesco Dell'Elce is third with 16
• Michael Hrabel has a 2.06 goals against average and a .934 save percentage on 25 games played
• Hrabel was named the Hockey East Stop It Co-Goaltender of the Week following a 50-save performance on Saturday against the Huskies, just the second 50-save performance in Hockey East play since 2023
• Hrabel was also recognized as Hockey East's Goaltender of the Month for February

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THE MINUTEMEN
• The Eagles are 80-17-4 all-time against the Minutemen
• BC swept the weekend series back in November, picking up a 7-3 win at Kelley Rink followed by a 4-0 victory the next night at the Mullins Center

• The Huskies suffered two defeats to Maine this past weekend, falling 4-0 in Portland, Maine and 3-2 at the Tsongas Center
• Dylan Hryckowian leads Northeastern in goals (15), assists (19), and points (34)
• Joe Connor (12) and Giacomo Martino (11) are also in double digits for goals
• Tyler Fukakusa, Amine Hajibi, and Jacob Mathieu each have 17 assists
• Lawton Zacher has played 29 games this season in goal and has a 2.15 goals against average and a .932 save percentage

• The Eagles are 177-64-18 all-time against the Huskies
• Northeastern swept the weekend series back in October
• Boston College is 1-4-0 in the last five meetings with Northeastern

• BC has already clinched a home game in the Hockey East quarterfinals. The Eagles will play on Friday, March 13 or Saturday, March 14, and the opponent will be determined after the first round games on Wednesday, March 11.
