Boston College Set For Final Meet Before ACC Championships

Team will take on Saucony Battle for Boston; First time in program history
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Men's Track and Field gears up for its final indoor meet of the regular season, as they take on the Saucony Battle for Boston at the BU Track & Tennis Center on Sunday, February 22. The event will be streamed on FloTrack.

Last week, the Eagles took on the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, as Theo Schucht broke a 32-year BC record in the 3000m to highlight the event. The Berlin, Germany native completed the event in 7:49.03, more than 10 seconds faster than the previous record, and places him in the top 10 in the ACC and top 40 in the NCAA.

Mateo Bianchi became just the third athlete in program history to run a sub-eight-minute 3000m after recording a 7:59.67, and Colin Peattie set the fifth-fastest time in the same event after running an 8:02.72.

Sunday will be Boston College's first time racing at the Saucony Battle for Boston, with the traveling party primarily running in distance events.

Following this weekend, Boston College prepares for the ACC Championships, held at the TRACK at New Balance from February 26-28.
