BC Returns for David Hemery Valentine Invitational

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College Men's Track and Field prepares for another weekend at the BU Track & Tennis Center, taking on the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday, February 13. The event will be streamed on FloTrack.

BC took on multiple meets last weekend, starting with the Harvard Invitational. Four Eagles finished in the top 10 of the 3000m, led by event winner Nick Loffredo. The Manchester Township, N.J. native clocked an 8:19.34, a season-best. Following close behind were Mac Kittrell (4th, 8:27.50), Edward Sullivan (5th, 8:34.04), and Aidan Brancaccio (6th, 8:34.44) to round out the top 10 finishers.

The Eagles then competed in the second day of the John Thomas Terrier Classic, where Colin Peattie and Mateo Bianchi became the third and fourth runners in program history to run sub-four miles. Peattie's time of 3:59.53 was a personal best and placed him third all-time in program history, while Bianchi's time of 3:59.83 put him fourth all-time and also set a personal best.

Following this weekend, the group takes on their last meet before the ACC Indoor Championships, competing at the Terrier DMR Challenge on Sunday, February 22.
