Women’s Hockey Suffers Setback Against Vermont

BURLINGTON, Vt. – The No.15 Boston College women's hockey team fell on the road to the Vermont Catamounts 2-3 on Saturday evening.
The Catamounts got the game started scoring 44 seconds into the first period. Kate Ham got the offense started for the Eagles. Ham found the back of the net off a pass for Julia Pellerin at 6:29 in the first period. Lauren Glaser gave BC the lead at 7:15. The Eagles held onto the 2-1 lead heading into the second frame.
Vermont tied the game up 42 seconds into the second frame, with an unassisted goal from Rose-Marie Brochu. The Catatmount got the lead back at 14:04 in the period to give them a 3-2 lead heading into the final period.
In the third period, Vermont had a 5-v-3 opportunity. BC was able to shut down the Catamounts offense. Neither side found the back of the net in the final frame, giving Vermont the 3-2 victory.
