Women's Track and Field Compete at ACC Outdoor Championships

BC places 15th overall with six points
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Boston College Women's Track and Field team placed 15th overall at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships at George C. Griffin Track, which took place May 9-11.Â
Boston College finished 15th overall, earning 6 points. Duke won the Women's team title with 133 points, while Clemson (118.5) and Notre Dame (74) rounded out the top three. Â
Thursday
The Eagles started off day one of the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships with the Women's 400m Hurdles Prelims. Yarsoslava Yalysovetska finished 13th overall with a personal best time of 1:00.38.Â
The Eagles had three athletes finish top-10 in the Women's 1500m prelims, Molly Hudson (4:16.92) placed sixth, Aoife Dunne (4:22.82) placed ninth, and Lily Flynn (4:23.47) crossed the finish line in 10th place. Hudson and Dunne's times qualified them for the Women's 1500m final on Saturday night. Hudson also earned a personal best time during her prelims race.Â
Molly FitzPatrick raced in the lone final for the Eagles on the Women's side on Thursday night, placing 16th overall in the Women's 10,000m final with a time of 36:43.67.Â
FridayÂ
Boston College started off the second day of the championship meet with the Women's 400m prelims. Anna Becker earned a personal best time of 56.03, while placing 19th overall.
Anna Sonsini finished 17th overall in the Women's 100m prelims with her time of 12.09.
Aoife Dunne earned a personal best time of 2:06.96 in the Women's 800m prelims, ultimately crossing the finish line in ninth place.Â
Boston College had two athletes competing in the Women's 3,000m Steeplechase final on Friday night. Emma Tavella earned fifth place with a time of 10:10.68, while Ellie Buckley (11:22.65) placed 17th overall.Â
Saturday
The Eagles headed into the final day of the championship meet with five athletes competing for a championship in their respective events on Saturday night, while also having a Women's 4x400m Relay team competing.Â
Molly Hudson and Aoife Dunne started off the day for the Eagles with the Women's 1500m final. Hudson placed seventh overall with a time of 4:18.18, while Dunne finished ninth overall with a time of 4:21.21.Â
Sophie Albright was the lone Eagle on the weekend competing in a field event. Albright placed 17th overall in the Women's High Jump with a mark of 1.63m.Â
Ella Fadil and Sarah Flynn battled against the conference's top runners in the Women's 5000m on Saturday night. Fadil (16:37.48) placed 21st, while Flynn (16:41.15) placed 24th overall.Â
Boston College finished out the championship weekend with the 4x400m Relay. The relay team of Marie Bilo, Anna Becker, Anna Sonsini, and Yaroslava Yalysovetska earned 10th overall, crossing the finish line at 3:43.45.Â
