Lacrosse Faces Princeton in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse will face Princeton on Sunday at 12 p.m. in Alumni Stadium in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
PREGAME HOSPITALITY
From 10:30 a.m.- 12 p.m., fans can gather for pregame food and beverages in the south endzone of Alumni Stadium. It is open to the general public.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
Last Time Out
The Eagles' previous outing was a 15-8 ACC title win against Syracuse on April 28, securing their second consecutive conference championship. BC outscored Syracuse 12-3 in the final three quarters. Kayla Martello poured in six goals and one assist for seven points, scoring four of her goals in the second half. Sydney Scales was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player after anchoring the defense that allowed just 20 goals in the three wins.
A Win Would

Eagles Rack Up Awards
Four Eagles earned ACC Player of the Year awards, as Belle Smith (Midfielder of the Year), Scales (Defender of the Year), Shea Dolce (Goalkeeper of the Year) and head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein was named Head Coach of the Year. Smith and Scales repeated for their respective position's awards while it was a second straight season both Dolce and Walker-Weinstein were recognized by the league.
Nine Named USA Lacrosse All-American
BC paced the USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American list with nine with nine selections - two on the first team, two on the second team, and five were named honorable mention.
Over the past 10 games, the junior attacker has led the Eagles with 46 points with 30 goals and 16 assists. She had just 29 points in the first nine games of the season. She leads all active juniors with 262 career points.
Defense on Lock
The Eagles allowed just 20 goals in the three wins at the ACC Tournament while Dolce turned in a .535 save percentage on the championship run.
NCAA Tournament History
BC is on its journey for a seventh straight NCAA Semifinals appearance and national title appearance. The Eagles have won their last six opening round postseason games and last 12 home games in the postseason.

The Eagles are 2-0 all-time against Sunday's foe, with both matchups taking place in the postseason. BC won its last matchup against Princeton in 2019, 17-12.
