Boston College Falls in Series Finale to No.16 Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va.-- The Eagles dropped the last game of the series to No.16 Virginia Tech, 13-4, Sunday afternoon at the Tech Softball Park.Â
Jordan Stephens led the Eagles by going 2-for-2 with two, two-run homers.Â
The Eagles bats struck first in the second inning. After Jules Shields drew a walk, a Stephens hom erun added two to the board. The Hokies were able to add a run in the bottom of the second.
Boston College added another two runs in the fourth. Shields singled through the left side, and a Stephens home run brought them both through home plate.Â
Virginia Tech scored 12 runs in the fifth inning, closing out the game on a grand slam.Â
The Eagles return to Boston for a three game series against Florida State, Friday, April 19 at 4 p.m. at the Harrington Athletics Village.
