Eagles End the Season Against No.10 FSU

Brighton, Mass. - The Boston College softball team (13-38, 3-21) was defeated by No. 10 Florida State University (46-8, 21-3) 8-0 Sunday night at Harrington Athletics Village in the final game of the series.Â
FSU took control early, plating three runs in the first and adding two more in the second to take a 5-0 lead. Defensively, BC stayed sharp, holding the Seminoles scoreless in the third inning.Â
The Seminoles added two more runs to their count at the top of the fourth, making it 7-0. Abby Ptak added a hit in the bottom of the fourth, her first hit of the series and the Eagles' first hit of the game.Â
Ptak added another hit for the Eagles late in the game at the bottom of the seventh. FSU held onto its 8-0 lead to cap off the series with another shutout.
