Eagles Fall to the Seminoles 8-0 in the Second Game of the Series

Brighton, Mass. - The Boston College softball team (13-37, 3-20) fell to No. 10 Florida State University (45-8, 20-3) 8-0 Saturday afternoon at Harrington Athletics Village in the second game of the series.Â
FSU struck first with two runs at the top of the first, with BC remaining scoreless 2-0. The Eagles had a strong defensive frame, keeping the Seminoles scoreless in the second inning. FSU tallied five more runs in the third and the fourth, keeping the Eagles off the scoreboard, holding a 7-0 lead.Â
In the fifth inning, Janis Espinoza hit a double down the left field line, giving the Eagles their first hit of the series.Â
Sammy Horn and Emma Knight added late hits in the bottom of the sixth, but the Seminoles held onto their 8-0 lead shutting out the Eagles for the second game of the series.Â
UP NEXTÂ
BC continues its series with FSU at Harrington Athletics Village on Sunday night with a 5 p.m. start on the ACC Network. The Eagles will close out the series with their Autism Awareness game.
