Eagles Drop Second Game to No.16 Virginia Tech

BLACKSBURG, Va.-- Boston College Eagles to the No.16 Virginia Tech Hokies, 9-0, in the second game of the series at Tech Softball Park, Saturday afternoon.Â
Nicole Giery led off play in the first inning with a double to right side to pick up the first hit of the game. Giery extended her double season record to 14. Giery advanced to third on a wild pitch, to get the Eagles in scoring position. BC was not able to rally for a run.Â
The Hokies had a hot start as they scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, and three runs off of a home run in the second. Virginia Tech scored two more runs in the third inning off three hits and added four runs in the bottom of the fourth.Â
The Eagles continue the series against No. 16 Virginia Tech tomorrow, April 14 at noon.
