Eagles Set to Host Eagle Elite Invite

Boston College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams host top teams from around the country on Friday and Saturday
BOSTON, Mass. – The Boston College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams are set to host the Eagle Elite Invite at the TRACK at new balance on Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday Feb. 10.Â

Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite
Freshman Anna Sonsini and sophomore Sydney Segalla started the meet off strong with two top-15 placements in the Women's 60m. Sonsini crossed the finish line in 12th place with a time of 7.80, while Segalla came in 13th also with a time of 7.80.Â
The Eagles 4x400m Relay team consisting of Sydney Segalla, Kyla Palmer, Kyla Krawczyk, and Kylee Benard came out flying with a time of 3:39.86, which placed them third out of 21 relays and earned them the school record for this event.Â
Boston College had four Eagles placed in the top-30 in the Women's Mile, with Lily Flynn leading the way finishing 19th with a time of 4:43.06. Roshni Singh (4:45.57) placed 22nd, Emma Tavella (4:45.82) placed 23rd, and Sarah Flynn (4:47.76) came in 26th place.Â
Cruz Brown led the way on the Men's side, placing 13th overall in the Men's 800m with a time of 1:50.61. The Eagles had two other athletes place in the top 30 as Eddie Kelly (1:51.19) placed 18th overall and Ryan Beegle (1:52.25) came in 25th.
Sophie Albright led the Eagles in field events on the day. The junior finished fifth overall in the Women's High Jump with a mark of 1.60m, 5' 3".Â

EAGLE ELITE INVITE
Boston College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams look to continue their successful indoor seasons into the weekend as the Eagles host some of the top teams in the country. The Eagles will be joined by Florida Atlantic, Harvard, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, UConn, USC, and Villanova.Â
The Eagles will have at least one athlete competing in 17 running events and two field events. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. on Friday with the Women's 5000m, and will conclude after the Men's Mile which begins at approximately 5:45 p.m. The Meet will wrap up on Saturday with a start time of 10:30, and the final event will take place at approximately 2:40 p.m.Â
