Eagles Compete Against Top Talent at Eagle Elite Invite

Boston College sets three school records over the two-day meet.
BOSTON, Mass. – Boston College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams hosted and competed at the Eagle Elite Invite on Friday and Saturday at the TRACK at new balance.Â
The Eagles were joined by Florida Atlantic, Harvard, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, UConn, USC, and Villanova. Boston College had at least one athlete compete in 14 running events and two field events throughout the two-day meet.
Friday Recap
Sydney Segalla set the tone on day one for the Eagles in the Women's 60m dash, setting the school record for the event with a time of 7.75. Segalla has broken a school record in at least one event the past three meets for the Eagles.Â
Cruz Brown joined the list of Eagles this season that have broken a school record. Brown earned the school record in the Men's 800m with a time of 1:49.44, placing 13th overall in the event.Â
Kyla Krawczyk finished eighth in the Women's 400m, while Kylee Bernard crossed the line in 11th place. Krawczyk's time of 54.89 is good for No. 2 all-time in school history. Bernard now sits at No. 4 all-time in school history with her time of 55.35.Â
Morgan Champi earned a personal best mark of 15.43m, 50' 7" in the Women's Weight Throw.  Â

The Eagles started off day two of the Eagle Elite Invite strong with the Women's Distance Medley Relay finishing fourth with a time of 10:54.89. The relay team of Aoife Dunne, Molly Hudson, Natalie Millerova, and Sydney Segalla earned a school record for the Women's DMR with their time.Â
Freshman Anna Sonsini finished eighth in the Women's 200m with a time of 24.80. Sonsini's time pushed her up the Boston College record book from No.6 all-time to No. 3 in the event.Â
Boston College had two runners finish in the top-20 out of 44 runners in the Women's 3000m. Emma Tavella (9:19.69) placed sixth, while Molly FitzPatrick (9:38.40) crossed the line in 19th place.Â
Sophie Albright was the lone scorer for the Eagles in the Women's High Jump, finishing with a mark of 1.66m, 5' 5¼".Â
