Eagles Host No. 12 UVA for Senior Day

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The No. 7 Boston College lacrosse team welcomes No. 12 UVA in the home finale for Senior Day on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Alumni Stadium.Â
SENIOR DAY
The Eagles will recognize their 10 seniors who all have been to at least three championships after the conclusion of Saturday's contest.

About the Eagles
Last Time Out
A season-high 10 different players scored for the Eagles with 11 of the goals being assisted on. Jenn Medjid tied a season high with seven goals and eight points. Cassidy Weeks scored two goals and recorded a career-best six draw controls. Kayla Martello turned in four points with a pair of goals and assists. All it took were three goals by Mejdjid in a 1:52 span to give Boston College a commanding lead. BC continued its torrid stretch of scoring, where five different Eagles scored the last seven goals of the frame to give BC a 10-1 cushion going into the second.Â
A Win Would
- Give BC a 12-3 mark and 7-1 record in ACC play.Â
- Improve the Eagles' record to 10-13 with an eighth straight win over UVA.Â

Boston College assisted on 12 of 19 goals in the win over Boston University on Tuesday. The Eagles are fourth in the nation and second in the ACC averaging 8.43 assists per game. In 11 wins this season, BC is recording 9.6 assists (4.6 in losses). Mckenna Davis leads the team with 44 assists on the season, which is the second most in a single season in program history.

Medjid is on a scoring tear, where she has 18 goals in the month of April over three games. The attacker for BC has 37 goals over the last nine games (17 in first five), while she is third in the nation and first in the ACC in goals scored.Â
ACC Tournament
BC is currently third in the standings with a 6-1 mark, while UVA is 5-2 on the season. A win on Saturday would clinch no worse than the third seed, while the Eagles have a chance to earn the No. 1 or 2 seed with victory this weekend and next week against No. 1 Syracuse.Â
Scouting Virginia
-Virginia has won three of its last four games and the previous two after defeating Duke, 16-12.
-Â Morgan Schwab scored five goals with one assist for six points. Rachel Clark netted four scored, while Ashley McGovern netted a hat trick with three goals.
-Â UVA has one of the top offenses in the country, as its scoring offense (13.54 gpg) is fourth in the ACC and 13th in the country.
-Â McGovern (52 goals) and Clark (48 goals) have combined for 100 goals on the season.
-Â Schwab's 36 assists are a team best as well, and has 17 goals for 53 points.
-Â Ashley Vernon has started in 11 of 14 games in the net. She has a .389 save percentage and 12.21 goals against average.
