BC Drops First Of Two On The Day Against Middle Tennessee
February 19, 2023 | Softball
FORT MYERS, FLA – Boston College lost to Middle Tennessee on Saturday afternoon 8-2. The Eagles now move to 6-2 on the season and the Blue Raiders improve to 7-2.Â
The game started slow with both sides going scoreless through two innings. In the top of the third MTSU was able to get on the board with some good hitting and base running from Laura Mealer and Shelby Echols.Â
Middle Tennessee was then able to tack on four more runs in the top of the fifth. BC managed to finally find some offense in the bottom of the fifth, scoring two runs to make the score 6-2. However it wouldn't be enough in large part because of some nice pitching work from MTSU's Keri Munn who pitched a complete game, going all seven innings and allowing only eight total hits to go along with three strikeouts.Â
BC Softball will be back tonight to take on FAU at 7:30 PM
