Taylor Makes Tewaaraton Award Watch List
Courtney Taylor joined Charlotte North, Jenn Medjid, Hollie Schleicher, and Belle Smith as one of five Eagles to make the Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Thursday. The senior has helped anchor a defense that's third in scoring defense and 14th in the country as of Wednesday. She is first in the ACC and 23 in the nation in caused turnovers per game (1.86), and second in the conference in ground balls per game at 2.43. Her 17 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers are both conference bests.
Double Trouble
North and Medjid have been lighting up the scoreboard this season, as the combined 59 goals between the pair are second nationally by a tandem. North is second in the country with 34 goals and Medjid is 12th with 25.
Balanced Attack
Five Eagles have scored at least 12 goals with North, Medjid, Smith (16 goals), Kayla Martello (13 goals), and Caitlynn Mossman rounding out the leaders with 12. BC had five players score at least 12 all of last season. Cassidy Weeks is approaching that number as she has nine goals.
Scouting Yale
Yale is 4-0 this season after a 12-9 win over Dartmouth last Saturday. Seven players scored while Olivia Markert and Olivia Penoyer scored three times. Markert leads the team with 15 goals on the season, while she has 17 points thanks to a pair of assists. Penoyer had eight goals and a team-high eight assists.
