Â
The Eagles took a 14-7 lead into halftime and started the second half just like the first. Cassidy Weeks got the scoring started just 1:14 into the half to begin a 4-1 scoring run in the first four minutes.
Â

BC Highlights
On the game as a whole:
"I'm really excited for the girls. I think they did a nice job executing a majority of what we were expecting. I think we have a lot to fix and a lot of holes to fill, but the girls are determined and they're focused. We're going to put a lot in tomorrow to get ready for USC. I thought today was great. We made some really good plays. Some good defensive plays. Some great stops by Rachel (Hall). We saw a lot of speed coming out of our defensive end with Hunter (Roman) and Hollie (Schleicher). Belle Smith had an excellent game going 2-2 and I think she had two draws. I'm really happy and the offense shared the ball well. I think they showed up and won the 1v1 matchups."
Â
On Charlotte North's eight-goal game:
"These girls are taught to win their matchup and if they win then they can go score. I thought (Charlotte North) did a really good job of attacking the net and exploding at the beginning of the game, which is what we want. We want to send a message right away. But I also thought our teammates did a nice job of opening up for her and being a threat off ball to make it easier for her to go. She was focused and it's exciting to watch her. She's an exciting player and I'm really proud of her."
