Friday night's events held at Providence; Saturday's competition shifts to Brown
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — The Boston College men's track & field team will compete on Friday and Saturday at the Ocean State Invitational.
Friday's meet will be held at Ray Treacy Track on the campus of Providence College, and the Eagles will have the middle-distance and distance events stacked with entrants in search of NCAA East Regional qualifying times. In the 800m, Matt Morano and Russell Wells will be looking to each their NCAA marks, while Sean Burke and Ian Ritchie will go to work in the mile.
"This meet is a great mid-season test and a chance for us to try to run fast as we approach Penn Relays and the championship meets," said head coach Matt Kerr.
On Saturday across town at Brown Stadium, the BC contingent will compete in the sprints and jumps. Four Eagles will start in the 400m hurdles.
