CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 1 Boston College women's lacrosse team is set for their first matchup of the 2019 season tomorrow, as the Eagles host cross-town rival Boston University at the Newton Campus Fields. First draw is scheduled for noon.
The Eagles, who have swept the top spot in preseason rankings across the board, have topped the Terriers in their last nine straight meetings. BC holds an 11-8 advantage all-time dating back to April 10, 1997.
The Terriers return leading scorers Kailey Conry and Ava Barry under first-year head coach Lauren Morton. Conry reeled in Preseason All-Patriot League honors and earned a spot on the IWLCA All-Northeast Region Second Team following last season. The Terriers were picked to finish fourth in their conference.
The Eagles welcome back a star-studded roster featuring five Preseason All-America selections after their best season in program history and second consecutive National Championship appearance. They rallied to a 22-2 overall record, including a 19-game win streak and an ACC Regular Season title.
