PASSING SHOTS
- Boston College claimed its first-ever ACC regular-season championship on Saturday after defeating No. 13 Virginia Tech, 9-7, in Newton ... the Eagles can clinch outright control of the championship with a victory on Thursday against Syracuse
- BC also earned the No. 1 overall seed in the ACC Championship with Saturday's victory ... it will be the Eagles' highest seeding at the conference's annual event
- Last time out, the Eagles notched their program-record 16th consecutive victory
- The Eagles' 16 wins now mark the program's second-highest single-season win total, passing the old mark of 15 in both 2014 and 2015 ... the record of 17 wins was set last year in 2017 ... a victory on Thursday would match the team's program record for single-season wins
- With six ACC victories so far, BC now has its best-ever conference win total ... prior to this year, Boston College's 5-2 mark in ACC play in 2015 was the team's record for league wins in any year of conference play - ACC (2006 to present) or BIG EAST (2001-05)
- BC swept ACC weekly awards on Tuesday as Sam Apuzzo won her third Offensive Player of the Week award and Dempsey Arsenault claimed Defensive Player of the Week honors, her first of the campaign
- Sam Apuzzo ranks second in the nation in points (91) and goals (63) and is 23rd in assists (28) ... Dempsey Arsenault is ranked 14th in points (69) and 17th in goals (48) ... Kaileen Hart ranks 29th in points (59) and 41st in assists (24)

- Sam Apuzzo and Dempsey Arsenault have combined for 169 of BC's 257 draw controls this season ... Apuzzo's 93 DCs so far are a career high and are second most in a single-season in BC history - just six back of Brittany Wilton's program record 99 in 2011 ... Arsenault's 76 DCs so far are tied with Wilton's 2012 mark for the third-highest single-season total ... both have set the school single-game DC record this year, first Apuzzo at 11 then Arsenault with 12 on March 17
- Tess Chandler netted her 100th career goal on Saturday against VTech
- Apuzzo comes into the weekend with 235 career points and is fifth on the Eagles' career scoring chart, 13 points back of fourth place (Lauren Costello '10, 248 pts.)
