PAST HISTORY
WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THE EAGLES
On the pitching performances of Jessica Dreswick and Allyson Frei at the FIU Classic
"I thought Dres and Ally had a really good weekend. Dres had a really good showing on Sunday and tied her career record with 11 strikeouts and was close to 12. I thought Ally Frei, this was the best I've seen her throw over the weekend. She had two heart breaking losses against FIU. It was a strong performance. We just need to do a better job with the bats. But I'm proud of her. She threw a lot of innings. Her speeds were still up going into the 13th and 14th inning. So it was a really good showing by our pitchers."
On the freshmen stepping up
"I think Emme Martinez and CC Cook have definitely had a huge impact on the lineup. They are buying into everything we're doing and they get into the box with a plan and they're attacking good pitchers and going hard. I think Cami has also been a great addition to the lineup."
On preparing for the spring break trip
"Spring break is a long trip so they are going to get off a couple days this week just to get caught up on sleep and take care of their bodies. Then it's back to the regular schedule starting Wednesday to get ready for some tough opponents over spring break."
