HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Coroneos singled through the right side and stole second. Murphy walked. Sharabba singled to right to score Coroneos.
- The Fighting Irish tied it, 1-1, in the bottom of the first with an RBI single from Rochford.
- Notre Dame scored four runs in the third, taking a 5-1 lead with a five-hit inning.
- BC scored two runs in the fifth to close the gap to 5-3. First Coroneos and Murphy hit consecutive singles and executed a double steal. Then they advanced on a wild pitch as Coroneos crossed home. Sharabba then hit a sac fly to right to score Murphy from third.
- The Eagles completed their comeback with three runs in the seventh. Coroneos led off with a double to center, and Sharabba walked. Cortez singled up the middle, and the runners advanced on the center fielder's throwing error, scoring Coroneos to cut Notre Dame's lead to 5-4. Junior Jordan Chimento executed a sacrifice bunt to score Sharabba from third and tie the score. That set up Moore's game-winning hit.
