BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Tatiana Cortez and junior Jordan Chimento hit back-to-back home runs for the second time in eight days.
- Junior Annie Murphy went 3-for-4 with two runs, one RBI, a walk and a stolen base. Murphy has reached base in 18 straight games, hitting .352 with a .446 on-base percentage in that span.
- Cortez recorded two RBI and two runs, holding team leads with 48 RBI, 13 home runs and 12 multi-RBI performances. Cortez has homered four times in the last five games.
- Freshman Halle Hixenbaugh went 2-for-3 with a double and a run for her second straight multi-hit game.
- Junior Chloe Sharabba recorded a double, three RBI and a run. Sharabba has a seven-game hit streak.
- Senior Taylor Coroneos went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base, generating her team-leading 21st multi-hit game.
TURNING POINT
Notre Dame's Wester broke a 9-9 tie in the seventh with a walk-off RBI single to right center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- BC generated a 4-0 lead in the top of the second. Murphy singled up the middle with the bases loaded to plate Hixenbaugh for BC's first run. Then Sharabba hit a three-RBI double to right center.
- Notre Dame closed it to 4-3 in the third with an RBI single from Reed and a two-RBI single from Marino.
- The Eagles built a 7-3 lead in the fourth. Murphy hit a leadoff single and stole second, setting up Cortez's two-run home run. Then Chimento homered down the right-field line.
- The Fighting Irish tied it, 7-7 in the bottom of the fourth with a walk from Reed and RBI singles from Rochford and Sullivan. Then Brooks hit a two-RBI single to left to give Notre Dame a 9-7 lead.
- BC tied it, 9-9 in the sixth. Sophomore Allyson Moore walked with the bases loaded. Then sophomore Lexi DiEmmanuele singled to short with the bases loaded to score Cortez.
- Brooks opened the bottom of the seventh with a double to set up Wester's game-winner.

The fourth-seeded Eagles will face fifth-seeded Notre Dame in the ACC quarterfinals on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Chapel Hill, N.C. BC ties its highest ACC seeding since joining the conference.
