HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, with senior Megan Cooley scoring off of an illegal pitch.
- In the top of the third, the Terrapins put two on base off an error and a hit by pitch. Hannah Dewey would later score Lindsey Schmeiser on a two-out single.
- Boston College would answer back in the bottom half of the inning, with sophomore Annie Murphy and junior Tatiana Cortez getting on base with a single and double respectively. Sharabba followed up by bringing both runners home with a single. DiEmmanuele would keep the run going, driving in Sharabba with a triple. Severini capped off the inning's scoring by singling in Sharabba.
- The Eagles continued their strong play in the bottom of the fourth with two more hits. Daulton would later extend the lead to 6-1, scoring on a wild pitch.
- After taking over for Frei, sophomore Jessica Dreswick found herself in some trouble in the top of the fifth, with Maryland placing runners on second and third with just one out. However, the Flemington, N.J., native got herself out of the pickle by striking out the next two batters to end the inning.
