Women's Lacrosse Improves to 5-0

Chestnut Hill, MA - The No. 16 Boston College women's lacrosse team had three players scored three goals apiece as the Eagles defeated Holy Cross, 12-7, in the first of a two-game non-conference road trip in Florida this weekend. The Eagles improved to 5-0 with the win, while Holy Cross is now 0-2.
Junior Brittany Wilton had three goals, one assist and tallied nine draws controls. Freshman Moira Barry added three goals and an assist, while Kristin Igoe notched three goals and an assist.
Boston College senior goalkeeper Sheila Sarafino had three saves in the win.
The Eagles held a 5-3 lead at halftime. BC also had 34 shots in the game. Wilton and Igoe scored three goals on just five shots apiece.
Game Notes
• Boston College will play former Big East foe UConn on Monday, March 7 at 1 p.m. in Claremont, FLA.
• BC and UConn have not played since the 2008 season with BC earning an 18-8 victory.
• Kristin Igoe now has 15 goals this season. Her career total is at 90, which places her eight on the all-time goal scoring list at BC. She is just 11 goals away from moving into 7th place.
