No. 14/16 Women's Lacrosse Tops UConn 11-8

The 14th/16th ranked Boston College women's lacrosse team remained undefeated as they spoiled the University of Connecticut's bid for a perfect season Monday with an 11-8 win in Clermont, Florida. With the victory the Eagles improve to 6-0 while UConn falls to 4-1.
Freshman Moira Barry led the way for the Eagles with four goals, while junior Brittany Wilton added three goals.
UConn got off to an early 2-0 lead before the Eagles responded with four straight goals. The Eagles took a 4-3 lead with 16:07 remaining in the first half on a goal scored by sophomore Brook Blue, assisted by Barry.
The Eagles took an 8-4 lead into half time on a goal scored by senior Hannah Alley with 1:17 remaining in the half.
The Eagles have outscored their opponents 80-43 through the first six games of the season and will travel to Virginia Tech Saturday in an ACC matchup.
Kristin Igoe now has 16 goals this season. Her Career total is now 91, which places her eighth on the all-time goal scoring list at BC. She is just 10 goals shy of moving into seventh place.
