Women's Lacrosse Falls to Virginia Tech 12-11

The 14th/16th ranked Boston College women's lacrosse team fell to Virginia Tech on Saturday, 12-11, in Blacksburg, Virginia. The loss is the first of the season for the Eagles, now 6-1 overall and 0-1 in the ACC, while Virginia Tech is 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the ACC.
Senior Kristin Igoe scored four goals, senior Jill Amo netted two goals and junior Brittany Wilton had two goals for the Eagles.
The Eagles found themselves down early as Virginia Tech was able to score first and BC had to play from behind the whole game. Boston College was down 9-3 going into the half but would score eight second half goals to climb back to within one , 12-11 on an Igoe goal with less 1:25 to play.
Igoe's four goals gives her 20 for the season in seven games and 95 career goals.
The Eagles will return home on Thursday, March 17 to host Harvard.
