Lacrosse Lands Five on All-ACC Teams

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse earned league recognition on Tuesday, with five Eagles named all-conference and Shea Dolce named ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Representing the Eagles on the All-ACC teams were Shea Baker (First Team), Giulia Colarusso (Second Team), Shea Dolce (Second Team), Molly Driscoll (Second Team), and Marissa White (Third Team).
It's the second straight season in which Baker was named first-team all-ACC, while Colarusso and Driscoll earned postseason honors for the first time in their careers. Dolce is an all-ACC selection for the fourth straight season, and White for the second time in her career and the first in a BC uniform.
Baker leads the team with 25 caused turnovers, 23 ground balls, and is third with 33 draw controls. The Ithaca, N.Y., native is ninth in caused turnovers per game (1.67) and 10th in CTs. She has a CT in 13 of 15 games and multiple caused turnovers in seven contests. The senior defender has 11 caused turnovers and 10 GBs over the last five games.
Colarusso has had a breakout sophomore season where she is second on the team in goals (35), second in draw controls (51), and third with 44 points. She has scored a goal in 13 of 15 games with seven hat tricks and four games with at least five points. The Mass. native was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week earlier this season after scoring four points with seven draw controls against then-No. 2 Stanford. She heads into the ACC Tournament with seven goals, eight points, and six DCs over the last two games.
Dolce continues her solid career with a .442 save percentage, 125 saves, and is second with 22 ground balls. The Darien, Conn. native has eight games with a plus-.500 save percentage and four outings with 10-plus saves. Dolce is a two-time ACC Defensive Player of the Week honoree after 11 saves and a .500 save percentage against then-No. 2 Stanford and most recently when she stopped eight shots with a season-high .667 save percentage against then-No. 4 Syracuse. Dolce is first among active goalies in the ACC and third in the nation with 621 career saves and has 130 ground balls.
In her first season with the Eagles, White leads the team with 36 goals and is second with 45 points. The redshirt junior has scored in 14 of 15 games with seven hat tricks and two games with at least five points. White has come on strong down the stretch, where she has 22 of her goals in the last eight games (14 in the first seven), while she leads the team with 15 goals over the past five games.
The Eagles face No. 2 seed Stanford in the quarterfinal round of the ACC Women's Lacrosse Championship at 5 p.m. on ACC Network in American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte.
